Sea moss is a red algae (Chondrus crispus) that grows on Atlantic rock and naturally carries a broad spread of trace minerals. Bladderwrack and burdock are the two it is traditionally paired with; the black pepper extract improves absorption.

Different from sea moss gel — gel is raw moss blended with water, so it needs refrigerating and spoils. Capsules are dried and concentrated, and keep in a cupboard.
Sea moss and bladderwrack are both naturally rich in iodine. The panel does not state an iodine figure, so we do not make an iodine claim — but it is the reason for the thyroid note below.
